Sarah-Jane Butler stands aside as CEO of Working Life Solutions

After ten years as CEO of Working Life Solutions (formerly Parental Choice), Sarah-Jane Butler is stepping down today, 30th September, from her role and handing the reigns to new CEO, Simon Seward, who joins the business from 1st October.  Sarah-Jane remains active within the business as owner, board director, and consultant to the PC Payroll & Legal business.

Seward has spent the last seven years working at executive level establishing workplace wellbeing strategies across multiple continents. His work within the workplace wellbeing field has led to being awarded Employee Engagement Program of the year 2020, Health and Fitness event of the year 2019, and recognised as a “Change Maker” – social innovator, business leader, thinker and activist committed to making positive change.

In addition to Seward’s experience in the wellbeing field, he brings entrepreneurial flair, a growth mindset, and the business experience to accelerate growth in 2022.

He said: ‘My experience within the sector and when creating two start-ups will help me streamline services and products, develop our presence in the market and grow our cliental list, improving their employee wellbeing and making a difference to our clients’ culture.

‘I am looking forward to immersing myself in the UK workplace wellbeing market and building on all of the great work by Sarah-Jane and the team at Working Life Solutions.’

In his most previous role, Seward was chief wellbeing officer and was instrumental in driving brand growth, maximizing operational excellence, delivering financial performance, and expanding efforts into high-growth, emerging markets.

Reflecting on the past ten years Butler said: ‘Building a wellbeing business from scratch has been a challenge, especially given the last few years.  I would like to thank all those that I have had the pleasure to work with, both clients, expert speakers, and my team.

‘Working Life Solutions is in good hands with Simon, and I know that going forward he will build on the great foundation we have created over the past ten years.  I wish him and the team all the best.’
